Gavin Wright, head of UK sales at Blueprint Machines, sheds light on the company’s multi-sector successes and how it is well positioned to stay on the forefront of the digital gaming market.
Coinslot: What factors influence your decisions when it comes to digital content design?
Gavin Wright: “Blueprint Machines are the UK market leader in digital content and responsible for delivering to a loyal player base within the arcade, bingo and pub sectors. As part of the Gauselmann Group of companies, we’re able to draw on our global pedigree when it comes to game design and development,as well as benefitting from its alliance with Blueprint Gaming, which gives invaluable insight into the online market trends that feed down in to the land-based markets.
Blueprint Machines are fully committed to being best of the best when it comes to content. Part of this mission has been accomplished by creating partnerships with the leading major brands to deliver an extra edge to the player experience on games so that they appeal to different market segments. Good examples of this are titles such as Deal or No Deal and Eye of Horus, and Fishing Frenzy.
Furthermore, Blueprint aligns itself to its customer base by listening to their needs. The customer base consists of a significant mix of major and independent machine operators to ensure that the product supplied delivers player loyalty and brand recognition, and the required VTP and NCB returns.”
CS: How has your performance been with its digital product within the various sectors?
GW: “For arcades and bingo, Blueprint Machines has made tremendous gains in the B3 sector in recent years. This has been accomplished through working closely with sister company Praesepe to enable ongoing development and testing of new content, which has paved the way to Blueprint Machines becoming the UK’s leading brand.
Titles such as Luck of the Irish, King Kong Cash,Genie Jackpots are now proven brands within the B3 sphere for land-based players, creating and building ongoing demand for new releases. With that, Blueprint Machines are confident that the recent releases of Luck Of the Irish Free Spins on Carbon Premium nd Aurora Noir’s Black Edition Menu will be the next step in the successful Blueprint journey.
Our Category C content for the arcade and bingo markets also continues to go from strength to strength. The uniqueness of Community Cash Vault inspires players who love the CashVault feature which rewards all players with big money spins regardless of whether they triggered the feature or not.
The Community Cash Vault (CCV) Category C game-pack includes a series of extremely strong titles that include Peter Pan and King Kong Cash, Luck Of
The Irish,Eye of Horus and Deal Or No Deal – all released this year to complement the already growing popularity of the product. In particular, Eye of Horus – one of the most iconic games across Europe – has been developed into a Cat C compendium for the first time and with the further addition of “The BARX Menu” together drives further uptake to the product and contribution to the cash box.
In pubs, Blueprint continues to prove itself as the digital pioneers of the pub sector originally gaining ground with the infamous Genie cabinet and King Of Games compendium. More recently has seen the ongoing evolution and success of the Alpha Star Cabinet on Titan, Platinum, and then Deal Or No Deal menus.
As well as this, Blueprint Machines are actively growing the player base in UK pubs, targeting the millennials who typically play online and then notice familiar Blueprint titles such as Luck Of The Irish on their local pub machine, creating new players and increased cash box.
Blueprint references the tradition of the pub fruit machine through its digital offer but also introduces successful gaming elements from casino with slots style games and also lo-tech style games such as Monkey Business Gold – a bingo favourite which will join the menu in September.
Constant innovation and targeted content is leading to a digital revolution in the UK pub sector and greater profits for operators and retailers.
CS: What does the future look like?
GW: “Blueprint Machines are shaking up the traditional structure and expectations of arcade, bingo and pub gaming. As a team, we also have specialisms within the management team with backgrounds in both online and casino, across international markets, which helps us to take a fresh perspective on what works – and where. Putting the player front and centre of they do; and in addition, Blueprint Machines chooses to make informed business decisions based on performance of data analysis of the games they play – wherever they may be. And despite being part of a large group of companies, Blueprint Machines continues to remain focused and nimble enough to make the quickest of business decisions to maximise the opportunities the UK market has to offer.
