Blueprint darts winners nominate MND Association and children’s charity the Ben Parker Trust Fund

Lee Murden, Senior Gaming & Entertainment Manager at Greene King, and Jamie Donkin, Leisure Machines Manager at Marston enjoyed a particularly productive edition of EAG with both winning a £500 donation to a charity of their choice courtesy of Blueprint Operations’ (BPO) on-stand darts competition to celebrate the success of the Bullseye portfolio of games.

Lee Murden, who top scored on the opening day is making his £500 donation, plus Gift Aid to the children’s charity the Ben Parker Trust Fund with Jamie nominating the MND Association, a cause which is close to the hearts of many in the industry. Runner-up prizes went to Marco Brodermier (Merkur Group), Billy Swindley (Associated with Intouch Amusements) and Jake Ranford (Shepway Automatics).

Expanding on the initiative Blueprint Operations Managing Director Andy Tipple said: “Clearly EAG is the most important opportunity of our year to meet and engage with our customers. The Bacta strapline is the ‘Serious business of fun’ and we wanted to add some theatre to what is a key business event not just for us but for the industry at large.

“I’m pleased to say that we ticked both boxes and the Bullseye competition which was played using an electronic darts system provided by sister company Regal Gaming Technologies contributed to the on-stand entertainment experience.”

He added: “The charity donation was courtesy of the MERKUR Community social impact fund which last year assisted 150 not for profit community groups and charities to the tune of £200,000 earning it a prestigious EAG Chairman’s Award which was presented on the Blueprint stand.”

Highlighting Blueprint’s star attractions Andy Tipple confirmed: “Alongside Bullseye, Monopoly drew a lot of attention. There’s an affection for both Monopoly and Bullseye and we received great feedback from operators regarding our delivery of both games particularly in terms of build quality and the overall player appeal.

“Positioned alongside Bullseye, Monopoly was seen as a powerful and recognisable proposition that resonates with both regular and new players. There’s a recognition that we have done an awful lot more than simply badge a game. Monopoly and Bullseye are both really strong games in their own right – with the licenses adding to the appeal.”
