Andy Tipple: ‘ACOS was a case of non-stop customer contact, discussions and engagement resulting in a 100 percent increase in confirmed machine sales’

Coinslot: There was a very positive vibe at the show this year. How did Acos go for you – was there good footfall and business conducted during the two days?

From the moment the show opened at 10am on Tuesday to closing at 4pm the following day it was a case of non-stop customer contact, discussions and engagement. We set out to make the Blueprint stand the first port of call for visitors and that was the case. We made a ten machine sale on the stroke of 10am which set the tone for the rest of ACOS. Overall, we experienced a whopping 100 percent increase in confirmed sales compared to 2023 and a 200 percent uplift in the number of follow-up leads.  In short it was an amazing show for the company and one which more than rewarded the huge team effort that went into making ACOS such a huge success.

Coinslot: You had a number of crowd pulling innovations on stand, talk us through some of them and what was the customer reaction to your portfolio?

The Launch of the Revolution cabinet was always going to be a big draw and our marketing strategy really paid dividends helping to inform operators about what they could expect to see in advance of them arriving at the show. The feedback on both days was incredible with particular interest in our new spin to win titles. In addition, I was really pleased with the interest in the Project poker cabinet as we gradually bring the brand back to where it belongs with the introduction of B4 games to accompany the existing portfolio. We also launched several new Cat C titles at the show which again proved to be a hit with new and existing customers.

Coinslot: Were there any notable wins from the two days – new agreements, installations, partnerships?

As we discussed earlier ACOS was punctuated by positive discussions with operators of all sizes, working in all sectors and based in all parts of the country. In terms of specifics we secured confirmed orders from City Gaming, Silvertime, Pure Gaming, Palace Amusements and Mecca. Once again our sales were double those achieved at ACOS 2023 and I anticipate this figure to grow significantly as the team follows-up on the leads generated at show.

Coinslot: ACOS is always a good barometer of the mood in the market – and by all accounts it was a spirited event. How did you find it and what were the main talking points?

What ACOS reaffirmed to me is quite how robust this industry is. Notwithstanding the uncertainty surrounding the delays to the implementation of the reforms recommended in the White Paper for the majority of operators it’s a case of business as usual. As a leading force in the manufacturing community we must support this with creativity and unparalleled innovation:  this was a message that I took back to the Blueprint development team as soon as we returned from ACOS.

Coinslot: With a brief break between now and January’s EAG, can we expect to see any new innovations or projects unveiled at the London show?

The Blueprint business is built on an unstinting commitment to innovation coupled with a recognition that we can never rest on our laurels. Looking ahead to January I can promise the industry that we will be using the platform provided by EAG to once again raise the bar and provide operators across all sectors with the tools they need to grow their machine income.
