Blueprint’s Velocity cabinet on course to register 3,000 sales in its first year and eclipse success of Ultramax stablemate
Blueprint Operations has confirmed that its acclaimed Velocity Cat C is on course to become its best-selling cabinet.
Launched in January at EAG, the Velocity has already registered sales in excess of 1,500 units with the in-demand visually striking, player-centric innovation set to hit the 3,000 mark by year end. The sales trajectory places Velocity well ahead of Blueprint’s Ultramax launch and marks it out as the brand’s most in-demand cabinet to date.
Explaining the attention to detail that’s become a characteristic of Blueprint’s approach to product development, Managing Director Andy Tipple said: “The design brief was to build a cabinet with huge kerb appeal that was technologically advanced, fully immersive and which elevated the player experience to a whole new level. Based on the unprecedented positive feedback received from both AGC and Pub operators I am delighted that we’ve met – and in many areas, exceeded expectations.”
The Velocity development programme started 2-years ago with the Blueprint team making numerous research trips to high street gaming venues across the UK with the information and aims shared with the company’s development partners based in Helsinki.
True to its commitment of working in partnership with what is a rapidly growing customer base Blueprint has underlined the significant input made by its AGC and pub operators alongside that of the company’s product experts some of whom boast over 40-years of industry knowledge.
“We actively sought feedback from operators at every stage of the development program” confirmed Tipple. “To make the process more than simply anecdotal we established a working group to ensure that every insight was recorded, and every requirement addressed. The outcome is a cabinet that has been shaped by genuine operational input and a passionate commitment to deliver the very best gaming entertainment experience. The result of over 10,000 hours of R&D is a worthy successor to Ultramax which is no mean feat!”
The passion for detail and the commitment to create a truly stand-out product is evident in the inventory of Velocity features which include dual 31.5” full HD edge-to-edge screens which have been designed for total immersion, alongside a 15.6” smart video deck which has been tailored specifically for the single-site market. The cutting-edge Quixant QXI 7000, ensures top-tier performance and full compliance with age verification requirements.
A key talking point for operators and players alike is the content with titles such as Spin to Win, Bullseye, and King Kong Golden Bananas built to maximise the cabinet’s capabilities.
“The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive” confirmed Tipple. “Operators consistently highlight the cabinet’s visual impact, player dwell time, and game performance. Customers appreciate the fresh, premium feel Velocity brings to venues, while players have responded to the content and immersive experience.
“The cabinet is performing exceptionally well across both pub and AGC sectors, driven by its hardware design alongside the suite of bespoke content that’s been built specifically for it. Key to the success is the fact that our content strategy has been just as ambitious as the strategy behind the hardware.”
With official figures announced by the British Beer and Pub Association showing nearly six pub closures a week during 2024 the income generated by gaming equipment has according to Andy Tipple never been more important. “Cat C income is more critical than ever” he confirmed. “With increasing operational pressures, machine revenue can be a stabilising force for pubs. Cabinets like Velocity don’t just enhance income with a success rate of over 95 percent – they help operators remain viable by attracting and retaining footfall in a challenging environment. In today’s market, a high-performing Cat C is not just an asset – it’s a lifeline.”
