Merkur UK has extended its safer gambling philosophy to include the B2B games creator Blueprint Operations.
The Blueprint Operations brand, which commands a market-leading share of gaming machine sales across the AGC, Bingo and Pub sectors, has successfully completed the audit of Responsible Gambling (RG) practices and procedures undertaken by the internationally renowned Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4).
Blueprint Operations becomes the latest Merkur UK brand to complete the audit and follows Regal Gaming Technologies, Merkur Slots and Merkur Bingo.
The audit was overseen by international responsible gambling expert, Pieter Remmers who founded the G4 consultancy and has worked on the development of policy in jurisdictions including the Netherlands, South Africa, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, Malta and Sweden.
Sascha Blodau, General Manager, Merkur UK underlined the importance of building a broad awareness of safer gambling. He stated: “When the 360 Program was launched it was with a robust commitment to set new standards in the delivery of safer gambling across the entire UK low-stake gambling sector.
“Safer gambling comprises a set of undertakings all of which are driven by a philosophy that permeates the entire team. To help achieve this we have opted to involve all our brands irrespective of whether they are consumer-facing or B2B operations.
“Having a holistic, company-wide understanding of what safer gambling entails improves awareness and helps establish a culture of responsibility which lies at the heart of what we are working to achieve on a daily basis which is to ensure that gambling entertainment remains an enjoyable activity for our customers.
“Working with the experts at G4 is another example of what we are doing as a business to identify and protect the very small percentage of customers who may experience problems.”
